On his 18th birthday TJ receives a key from his estranged ex con father. The key unlocks a timeworn ’68 convertible and a challenge to drive across America - in hopes of repairing his sense of family. Supported by a band of lovable oddballs and held together by humor and grit, TJ discovers that sometimes the longest road is the fastest way to home.
We are happy to announce Uncommon Productions' WHAT WE FIND ON THE ROAD (fka, Polara) has been accepted by a host of upcoming film festivals this Spring. We hope you can come see it if you are nearby, and share it with your friends and family! We will announce our theatrical release later this summer.
The picture was filmed in the ‘original style’ entirely on location, traversing the country to capture authentic scenery and experiences similar to films like EASY RIDER and THELMA & LOUISE that incorporated extensive cross-country journeys. A talented and hardworking team of artists made three, 3,000+ mile cross country trips between Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Vallejo, California, in an old 1968 Dodge Polara convertible, to capture the piece. It stars Finn Haney, William Chris Sumpter, Katherine Laheen, Ross Partridge, and Paul Guilfoyle, and was directed by Chaysen Beachham.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN…
Last month, we screened the film at the Victoria Film Festival in British Colombia to a sold out audience. Director Chaysen Beacham was in attendance to mingle with other filmmakers and guests and participate in a Q&A following the screening.
